I almost didn't carve a pumpkin this year but at the last minute my sister covinced me to. I'm glad she did - I'm fairly proud of how this turned out. I'm not very good at carving pumpkins and I really wish I were. I was scared about the curves in this design - and how thin it gets in the shell - but somehow it worked out! Even though I was stupid and carved the edge of the shell spiral first and so it was hanging by a thread while I carved the center part (thumbs up to those who understood that).
We didn't get many trick-or-treaters, but I heard one of the few that came by say, "And a snail, how cool." Just sparks that nice warm feeling inside.
that is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time!
I've always wondered, how do you actually carve pumpkins? (Halloween's not a big thing where I live.) Do you cut off the top and take out the inside first or what?
Anyway, great work!!!

We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
